These positions will serve as testing team members for new functionality being added to the Ohio Benefits (OB) Eligibility system to support the Early Childhood Education grant.
Job Description:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Perform functional and non-functional testing (e.g., regression, performance, user acceptance).
- Execute manual or automated tests to ensure the software meets both business and technical requirements.
- Facilitate UAT sessions by helping business users test and validate the solution before production.
- Perform both positive and negative testing according to the scenario.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the progress of testing, issues, and resolutions.
- Maintain traceability of business requirements through testing to ensure all requirements are met.
- Document test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to the team.
Mandatory skills:
- Familiarity with user acceptance testing methodologies and tools.
- Ability to clearly convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to spot discrepancies between requirements and the proposed solution.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and address issues.
Certifications or Desired skills if any:
- Previous history or familiarity with State of Ohio systems.
- Previous history or familiarity with systems serving Early Care and Education programs.
- Previous history or familiarity with Ohio Benefits.
- Previous history or familiarity with the Early Childhood Education grant.
Years of Relevant Experience:
- 2-4 years
Preferred Education:
- 4 year college degree of equivalent technical study
